Tree Mishap

Ok, so I was watering my tree the other day and when I lifted some branches to get at the base of the tree . . . . . it fell over . . . . . Kaboom!! Dawson really freaked out. After calming him down, I thought I'd better get some pictures for the scrapbook. Then I started to get creative. Our dinner was an hour late that night because I was so busy getting the pictures you see here. Amazingly only one ornament broke. The top heavy tree is now tied to our wall.

I've finished my last senior photo shoot for the year. I took Luis's pictures the week of Thanksgiving. It was a cold and foggy day. But the sun came out toward the end of the shoot. It was a fun morning. Here are a few samples of the pictures we got.

Hi all! I had to do some self-portraits for a club contest. Well let me tell you, it was so much harder than I thought it would be. I spent all afternoon and evening working on it. It was a very frustrating process. It's so much different being behind the camera.

I enjoyed this photo shoot a lot. Danielle and her friend were full of ideas and a lot of fun to work with. We went to new places and some familiar ones. I also learned some new techniques while working on these photos.

My very first solo Senior Photo Shoot

These photo's are my favorites from my very first senior photo shoot. Pablo was a great first subject to shoot. He didn't mind me dragging him all over Salem. And he was pretty quick to get into position. Thanks so much Pablo for letting my take your senior pictures.

I really love fall. The leaves are changing colors and the weather turns cooler. It's a great time of year to curl up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book.

Oregon State Fair

This year I entered some photo's in the Oregon State Fair. Three of them made it past the judges and will be displayed in the photography building at the fair. Also the photo I had displayed last year that won the People's Choice Award will be displayed again this year. So that makes the count a total of 4 photo's, with my name on them, displayed at the fair. So very cool!!! The three photo's you see here are the photo's that made it in this year.

My Grandparents

I started out trying to take pictures of my Grandma's Bible. However it just wasn't working the way I wanted it to. Then I remembered the locket. It took a few trys to get the shot I wanted, but I'm very happy with the final result.

My Grandparents were the greatest grandparents one could ask for. My Grandma taught in a one room school house before she got married. And my Grandpa was a farmer in Iowa. They got married exactly one week after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.

VBS ~ Crocodile Dock ~ July 2009

In July I had the opportunity to photograph our Church's VBS program. Though the dark building provided some challenges, I had a great time! I'm posting a few of my favorite shots of the week. It was a great week. The kids raised enough money to reach and surpass the missionary goal. And at the end of the week there was a baptism. It was a fun and challenging week.

Winema ~ Belly Flop Contest and other Misc photo's

In these photo's you'll see; my husband getting hit by an 8ft. ball, my brother-in-law at bonfire, and my favorite shots from the belly flop/canon ball contest.

3rd Jr. Camp ~ Winema ~ June 28 - July 4th 2009

This summer my family went to the 3rd Jr. Camp at Winema Christian Camp in Cloverdale, Oregon. We had a lot of fun!! My husband was "The Game Master" and I was the photographer. My oldest son was a camper and the youngest got to tag along with me. I came home with 5 disc's of edited photos. So to pick a few of my favorite is pretty difficult. However I wanted to be able to share some of the fun we had.
