A Country Girl

I met Mary a few months after the accident. At the time she was a young lady who'd heard about our story and wanted to help. I thought she was a sweet girl.

Then a month ago she called me and asked me to take her Senior photo's. She picked some beautiful locations and she's such a beautiful young lady, both inside and out. (I swear some people make my job so easy!) I really enjoyed getting to know her during the photo shoot. She's a wonderful and determined young lady with a ready smile and a big heart for those around her. Mary, thank you so much for asking me to take your senior pictures. I truly feel privileged to have met you. I wish you all the best as you move into this new phase of your life. :)

And I just have to say, I LOVE the white dress and cowboy boots!!

Tori's Workshop

Early in July my friend Tori organized a workshop. It was a lot of fun getting together with other photographers to play. :) We spent about 2 hours in downtown Portland taking pictures of a model. This was my first time working with an actual model, and I really enjoyed it. It was really fun taking pictures of someone who posed themselves.

Tree climbing, Jumping & Silly Faces

Earlier this week I had the wonderful opportunity to take pictures of  the Duby families 6 grandchildren. It was such a fun photo shoot! I mean when all the girls are willing to climb a tree, how can it not be fun! :) Between the tree, crazy faces, jumping and pyrmid pictures I had a great time. This was one of those photo shoots where reality melted away and we just had fun! Thank you Duby grandchildren for allowing me into your crazy world for a little while. I truly enjoyed meeting you all!!

Silkey Family

I first met the Silkey family a few months ago. We'd gone to dinner with my sister, her family and some of their friends from church. After a while Alisha and I started talking about photography. I liked her immediately. Anyone who's willing to sit and discuss photography with me is an instant friend. :) Especially since my families eyes always glaze over when I talk to them.

Well a couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to photography the Silkey family. It was a blast working with them and their adorable children. The girls were so cute and shy. And poor little Levi was done taking pictures before we'd even started.

Thank you Silkey family for being such cool people! I truly enjoyed working with you. :)

A Wedding Workshop

While I was in Seattle last month I had the amazing opportunity to attend a workshop with MeRa Koh. She is a photographer who has set out to help women come out of their shells and get their business going. She has been on Oprah, The Nate Berkus show and VH1. I was nervous to meet her and work with her. But I wasn't going to chicken out after being given this amazing opportunity. I'm so glad I went. She is the sweetest person you'll ever meet. On top of that I learned a lot and came out with some pretty darned good pictures . . . . if I do say so myself! :)
